"Nice rustic hostel"

Our family of four took the train to Huancayo and stayed in two rooms for three nights at rustic Samay.

We hired Eduardo to give us a day tour of neighboring village handicrafts (textiles, silver work and amazing gourd painting) and thoroughly enjoyed his company, the views and artists.

We also happened on a neighborhood party at the plaza a few blocks from the hostel and were generously welcomed with open arms to dance and drink with the residents one Friday night. We all had a blast.

Very helpful to know Spanish here.

The staff is really friendly and helpful. We had a wunderful stay in this hostel. We had a few quetions about the city and what to do and they were really helpful and explained us a lot of things. We left early in the morning and they prepared us breakfast for the bustrip. We really recommend

The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Close location to most city destinations. Safe and secure. Great value.
