Overview

	Andes Lodge Peru is located in the unspoilt village of Yanama, just twenty minutes outside the Huascaran National Park. It offers guests a rare opportunity to experience life in a traditional Andean community and to explore the beautiful countryside in which the lodge is set. Whether you want a relaxing break or are looking for something more active walking, biking, horse riding or climbing Yanama can provide it.
	The lodge is twenty minutes from the start of the well-known Santa Cruz trek and one hour from beautiful glacial lakes such Llanganuco, Lake 69 and Lake Ulta. Surrounding the lodge are some of the highest peaks in Peru ranging in altitude from 5495m to over 6000m, including Chacraraju, Contrayerva, Ulta, Chopicallqui and Puca Raju.
	It offers a comfortable base from which to explore the attractions of Yanama. Set on the edge of the village it offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains from its bedrooms and roof-top terrace. It has a quiet garden and comfortable lounge in which guests can relax, read a book or watch a DVD.

Andes Lodge Peru is set in the village of Yanama, a traditional Andean village where the way of life remains unchanged for its villagers. The lodge is set in stunning countryside and surrounded by snowcapped mountains. It is an ideal base for hiking, biking, climbing or horseriding and is just 20 minutes from the Huascaran National Park, home to the Llanganuco Lakes and Peru´s highest mountain, Huascaran.
Directions	Yanama is situated close to the Huascaran National Park and is four hours from the city of Huaraz. It can be reached by public transport or by taxi, both of which we can arrange for guests.

Amenities & Attractions

Andes Lodge Peru has single, double and matrimonial rooms; for parties of three an extra bed can be placed in a double room. All rooms have orthopedic beds to give our guests a good night's sleep and all bathrooms have 24 hour hot water.

The lodge is an ideal place to enjoy the tranquility and relaxed pace of life in Yamana. The comfortable lounge is equipped with music, cable TV, DVD and games. Guests can take it easy on the roof-top terrace, sipping a drink from the bar whilst looking out onto snow capped mountains. The small, tranquil garden is ideal for reading or snoozing in the sun.

The rustic mud-oven allows the preparation of home-made pizzas and a separate area is used for cooking the traditional Andean dish of Pachamanca, where meat, potatoes and vegetables are cooked underground using hot stones. The owners keep cuy (guinea pigs), another one of the popular Andean dishes on offer for guests who wish to try something new.

A laundry service is offered at a minimal charge and guests are welcome to store luggage at the lodge free of charge.
